Britney Spears' Book Makes History as the 'Highest Selling Celebrity Memoir,' Singer Thanks Fans for Support
A major accomplishment! Just hours after Britney Spears' tome hit shelves, the singer announced that The Woman in Me has reached unprecedented success.
"It’s happening ✨🤓📖 !!! My book is the highest selling celebrity memoir in history and it’s only day 1 !!!" the mom-of-two gushed in a Tuesday, October 24, Instagram post. "Thank you to the fans who have been so supportive !!! Love you all 🌹 !!!"
As OK! reported, the pop star's book covers a range of shocking topics, from her time spent in her father's controversial conservatorship to her famous romances.
One of the most talked about bits is her confession that she had an abortion during her romance with Justin Timberlake, whom she dated from 1999 to 2002.
"I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day," she admitted. "This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated."
"But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young," the blonde beauty continued. "I’m sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby. I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father."

To keep it a secret — even from their parents — Spears' assistant got her pills to take at home.
The superstar recalled having "excruciating cramps. I went into the bathroom and stayed there for hours, lying on the floor, sobbing and screaming."
"Justin came into the bathroom and lay on the floor with me," she added. "At some point he thought maybe music would help, so he got his guitar and he lay there with me strumming it."
The former lovers also endured hardships due to their mutual infidelity, but Spears was still "devastated" when the *NSNYC alum broke up with her via a text message. She remembered feeling "comatose" after the split, while Timberlake, 42, "was happily running around Hollywood" seemingly milking the heartbreak.
Spears also shared details about her fling with Colin Farrell and failed marriage to Kevin Federline, the father of her two children.

The superstar explained that any man she romanced had to first pass a rigorous set of tests.
"When someone wanted to date me, the security team who answered to my father would run a background check on him, make him sign an NDA and even have him submit to a blood test," she revealed in her book. "The whole thing was humiliating, and I know the insanity of this system kept me from finding basic companionship, having a fun night out, or making new friends — let alone falling in love."
