Not too long after Jamie Lynn Spears announced her upcoming Things I Should Have Said memoir, Britney seemingly made a cryptic comment on Instagram.

The blonde beauty posted a photo of herself wearing a sheer black jumpsuit with sequins on Instagram. "Psssssss also great news … I'm thinking of releasing a book next year but I'm having issues coming up with a title so maybe my fans could help !!!!" Britney wrote. "Option #1 … 'S**t, I really don't know' Option #2 … 'I really care what people think.'"

The "Toxic" singer previously posted that she was writing a book about a girl "who was murdered 👀 … yet her ghost 👻 gets stuck in limbo because of trauma and pain and she doesn’t know how to cross over to the world she use to know 🌎 !!!!"

However, fans suspected that Britney's recent post was a dig at her sister.

"The things my sister shouldn’t have said," one fan commented on the new post.

"Oomph Shots fired sis 🔥," another user wrote.

"God I love your shady side 😂😂," a third joked.

The Zoey 101 alum received backlash when the book appeared to have originally been called I Must Confess: Family, Fame and Figuring It Out, which was a nod to Britney's debut single "... Baby One More Time." The memoir was reportedly unveiled online in July with the controversial title.

"We deeply regret that incorrect and incomplete information about her book has appeared in the public space, particularly at this sensitive time for Jamie Lynn and her family," Worthy Publishing said in a statement at the time. "Worthy is excited and honored to be collaborating with Jamie Lynn on her as-yet-untitled memoir, scheduled for publication in January 2022," the statement read.

This isn't the first time Britney has thrown shade at her family.

In July, she took aim at Jamie Lynn and shared on Instagram that she didn't "like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes." The 39-year-old appeared to be referencing the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards, where Jamie Lynn took part in a tribute performance.

"My so-called support system hurt me deeply... This conservatorship killed my dreams...so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill...yet people still try!!!!" Britney said at the time.

Earlier this month, Britney seemed to slam her family. She posted a picture on Instagram of a woman swimming towards another woman who was lying down.

"I suggest if you have a friend that’s been in a house that feels really small for four months … no car … no phone … no door for privacy and they have to work around 10 hours a day 7 days a week and give tons of blood weekly with never a day off … I strongly suggest you go pick up your friend and get them the hell outta there !!!!!" Britney wrote in the caption.

"If you’re like my family who says things like 'sorry, you’re in a conservatorship' … probably thinking you’re different so they can f**k with you !!!!" the Crossroads alum added before praising her attorney Mathew Rosengart "who has helped change my life."
