Britney Spears 'Jumping For Joy' After Dad Is Suspended From Conservatorship, 'She Hasn't Felt Joy Like This In 13 Years,' Source Says
Brintey Spears was said to be emotional when she learned that a judge ruled to suspend her father, Jamie Spears, from her conservatorship.
"Britney burst into tears upon hearing the judge’s decision," an insider told Page Six. "For the longest time, she had begun to think that she would never see the day that her father’s domineering control over every single aspect of her life would end, but it finally happened."
"She’s in shock and at a loss for words but literally jumping for joy," the insider added. "She hasn’t felt joy like this in 13 years."
As previously reported by OK!, Judge Brenda Penny suspended the 69-year-old on Wednesday, September 29, saying, "I believe that the suspension of (James Spears) is in the best interest of the conservatee, Ms. Britney Spears."
Penny also said that "the current situation is untenable" and is "a toxic environment."

During the hearing, the "Toxic" singer's lawyer Mathew Rosengart said that "the conservatorship can and should be wound up and terminated promptly — ideally this fall … Britney Spears deserves to have her father out of her life as a conservator, today."
The Crossroads actress' legal team is reportedly pushing for the conservatorship to be terminated within 30 to 45 days.
Certified public accountant John Zabel was appointed as temporary conservator of the pop icon's estate, which is effective through December 31.
Jamie previously filed documents arguing that just because Zabel is an accountant, that does not mean he is "highly qualified" when it comes to handling the "Womanizer" singer's multimillion-dollar estate, TMZ reported.
Britney took to Instagram on Wednesday, September 29, and shared a video from a flying lesson. "On cloud 9 right now 🤩☁️✈️ !!!!" she captioned the post. "First time flying a plane and first time in a prop plane ✈️ !!! Geez I was scared 😳 🙄 !!! Pssss bringing the ship 🛳 home, JL ... Stay classy beautiful people !!!! New pics coming soon 📷😉✨ !!!!"
The blonde beauty spoke in court in June and claimed that the conservatorship was abusive. "My requests are just to end the conservatorship without being evaluated. I want to petition basically to end the conservatorship, but I don’t want to be evaluated, and be sat in a room with people four hours a day, like they did to me before. And they made it even worse for me after that happened," she said at the time.
In response to Jamie's suspension, Britney's fiancé Sam Asghari posted a photo of a lion on his Instagram Story. "She did this. Her fanbase is called the army for a reason," he captioned the post.
