What a throwback! Britney Spears shared a nostalgic throwback photo to ring in her sister Jamie Lynn Spears’ birthday featuring none other than ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
In the photo, which was posted on Friday, April 9, Britney and Justin appear to be speaking to a young Jamie Lynn.
"Happy belated birthday to this beautiful soul 🎂🎂🎂 !!! I love you so much and damn it I wish I was as smart as you at 30 !!!!" Britney gushed. "It’s weird to say that I was basically your momma when you were younger and yes I’m still older but your soul is and always has been wise !!!!

The pic comes after Timberlake issued an apology earlier this year "for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right. I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism."
"I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed," he said.
The "Cry Me A River" singer’s apology came after their four-year relationship was discussed in the Framing Britney Spears documentary, and Timberlake was heavily criticized online in the aftermath. The pair called it quits in 2002 amid cheating rumors.
However, there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between the former flames, though Spears did not publicly respond to Timberlake’s apology. "Britney has been on the receiving end of so much hate through the years, particularly on social media. She would never want her fans to release the hounds on Justin," an insider previously told Us Weekly.
However, fans were still not happy to see Timberlake in the photo. "Of all the pictures to choose from...JT?!" one asked.
"What a strange picture to choose," another wrote, while a third added: "People crucify Justin, but you can clearly see she has no hard feelings."
