Rapper Cardi B and her sister, Hennessy Carolina, have asked for a defamation lawsuit against them to be thrown out, according to new court documents, as the plaintiffs are allegedly suing celebrities as a cash grab.

Cardi and Hennessy reportedly filed a motion to dismiss the suit from Peter Caliendo, Pauline Caliendo and Manuel Alarcon following an altercation last summer at the Hamptons.

"The remedy for thin skin is thicker skin, not a lawsuit," the sisters wrote, according to TMZ. The 28-year-old "WAP" singer and her younger sister claimed that the words were just their opinions, which does not make them liable for defamation.

The 25-year-old was accused of defaming, battering, assaulting and threatening the group, and her girlfriend, Michelle Diaz, was also named for allegedly defaming the group in social media posts afterward when the pair had a spat with the trio over parking at Smith Point Beach in Long Island, the Daily Mail reported.

While physical injuries were not alleged in the suit, the plaintiffs did claim that they were assaulted and battered by potentially being exposed to COVID-19 via “copious spraying of spittle.”

The plaintiffs alleged that Hennessy threatened them and shouted obscenities because they wore MAGA hats and had a flag.

They also accused them of violating their right to privacy by posting videos of the incident online, where they were called "racist."

"These peaceful Suffolk County residents were quietly enjoying a Sunday at the Smith Point Beach with their families, when rap celebrity Hennessy Carolina suddenly approached them, raging, spitting, insulting, assaulting, defaming and threatening them, all the while videotaping them, because one of them wore a MAGA hat," their attorney, John Ray, said in a press release at the time.

Carolina claimed that two men approached her and her girlfriend because they "saw us parking here and we were speaking Spanish and we’re mixed." The man allegedly told the women "go to your f**king country."

According to her Instagram Story at the time, they asked her to move her car but the exchange got heated. "Shut the f**k up, Karen," Carolina said to the woman in the video and then told her to "suck my d**k" when she flipped her off.
