On Wednesday, August 5, D'Amelio attended Variety's Power of Young Hollywood event in Beverly Hills, Calif., in a see-through dress.

The 22-year-old went braless in a sheer, wine-colored floor-length gown that showed off her slim frame. The see-through gown consisted of a loose top half and a chiffon skirt that gave fans a peek at her underwear.
She accessorized the look with minimal jewelry, opting for only a pair of diamond drop-down earrings. She wore her long black hair in a sleek side-parted style.
D'Amelio donned minimal makeup and looked fresh-faced while she smiled for the camera.
One fan told Charli D'Amelio she looked 'stunning.'
The TikTok star shared photos of the outfit via her Instagram the same day, simply captioning the photo, "♥️."
Her over 40 million followers flooded the comments section to rave about the Dancing With the Stars winner.

However, the ensemble received mixed reviews online, with many critics taking to X to voice their disapproval.
One person claimed, "She needs a new stylist asap cause what is this."
"It’s a cute dress it simply is NOT flattering on her body," another wrote about the frock.
A third critiqued her outfit, calling it "atrocious."
"I’m not some fashion icon, but bro, what the h--- is that dress? Doesn’t look good at all," a fourth chimed in.

D'Amelio shot to fame in 2020 after she started posting on TikTok, and by age 15, she became the most followed person on the popular app.
The star currently has almost 160 million followers on TikTok after being the first creator to reach the 50 million followers and 100 million followers milestones.
After blowing up on the platform, D'Amelio took to mainstream media, with her family's Hulu series, The D'Amelio Show, and a role in the Broadway musical & Juliet.
A Family Feud
Charli D'Amelio's father, Marc D'Amelio, claimed she is being manipulated.
Her appearance at the Variety event comes amid recent headlines that she and her famous family are no longer in contact.
Marc D'Amelio, Charli's father, commented on a DeuxMoi post from May 30 that claimed Charli discovered millions of dollars had been moved out of accounts her parents had originally opened while managing her career.
"No one called me for an interview. This is not true. We love Charli, but she is being manipulated, and I have the receipts. Over the last six years, we have remained silent and never addressed gossip, but the time has come to set the record straight," he wrote.
Charli has yet to address the drama.
