Chris Rock Tells Audience He's 'Still Kind Of Processing' Shocking Will Smith Slap In First Comedy Show Since The Oscars
Chris Rock spoke out about his now-infamous moment at the 94th Academy Awards ceremony in his first comedy show since Will Smith slapped him for making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's hair loss.
The Spiral: From the Book of Saw actor stepped out on stage to be met with a three-minute uproarious round of applause from his eagerly awaiting crowd at the South Boston comedy venue.
"How was your weekend?" Rock asked the audience at The Wilbur on Wednesday, March 30. "I had a whole list of jokes before this week happened."
The stand-up comic also admitted that amid his whirlwind week, he's "still kind of processing what happened" at the Oscars on Sunday, March 27.
As OK! previously reported, the Bad Boys star stunned attendees when he walked up onto the stage and hit Rock in the face after the comedian made an ill-thought out jab at Pinkett Smith's appearance.
A source later claimed The Longest Yard actor reportedly had no idea that she had been diagnosed with alopecia — an autoimmune disorder that results in patchy hair loss — insisting Rock "doesn't have a mean bone in his body."

Now, the altercation seems to have worked out — at least somewhat — in the Everybody Hates Chris creator's favor. As he kicks off his new Ego Death World Tour in Boston, ticket prices for future shows have skyrocketed. Some are being sold at $1,350 per seat, while resales for his sold out Boston show crept up as high as $800.
Meanwhile, although Rock chose not to press charges for the Oscars incident, it appears that Smith will face consequences for his choices from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The Academy's Board of Governors released a statement announcing they had "initiated disciplinary proceedings" against the Gemini Man star, and would give him 15 days notice to provide a written response in regards to the startling altercation. This response can then be taken into consideration when the Board decides the appropriate disciplinary action.
"While we would like to clarify that Mr. Smith was asked to leave the ceremony and refused," they added in the statement, "we also recognize we could have handled the situation differently."
The Academy's next board meeting will take place on April 18.
