Courtney Stodden Shows Off Her Bikini Body Before Her Birthday: 'I'm Reclaiming My Life'

Courtney Stodden is having a tropical birthday!

The model and singer recently shared a series of sunny Instagram photos from Maui to celebrate her 32nd birthday on August 29.

In one snapshot, Stodden sat outside beneath the Hawaiian sunshine in a colorful bikini top paired with flowing patterned pants. She wore a flower in her long blonde hair and smiled as she enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.

The getaway also included plenty of time at the Waldorf Astoria in Maui, where Stodden posed for several photos while showing off her toned figure.

One close-up featured the reality star beneath a thatched-roof structure with a tropical flower tucked into her hair as she flaunted her cleavage. Another photo captured her outside at the resort enjoying the lush scenery.

The birthday photos also come with a much deeper message about Stodden's journey.

“Woke up in paradise, part one,” she wrote, explaining that it was her final day of being 31 before turning 32.

She continued, “Honestly… there was a time I didn’t think I would live to see my 30s. I couldn’t imagine a future where it didn’t hurt so much just to be here. Now, I’m sitting in Maui with a flower in my hair, feeling grateful I get to grow older. i’m reclaiming my life.”

Stodden also shared what keeps her moving forward.

“Finding purpose in my pain, using my voice to protect children, and doing what I can to leave this world better than I found it. You’ve seen me through so many versions of myself," she told her fans.

She added, Thank you for being here for this one. Still healing, still becoming and letting myself enjoy the life I fought so hard to keep. 🤍."

Stodden is now using her own experiences to help tell a larger story.

Last year, the model served as an executive producer on Lifetime's movie I Was a Child Bride: The Courtney Stodden Story, which premiered on September 27, 2025.

The project explored Stodden's experience of being married at 16 to an older man with her parents' consent.

Speaking exclusively with OK!, she opened up about revisiting that painful period while working on the film and explained how the experience changed her understanding of what she went through.

For Stodden, returning to the story in her 30s brought a new sense of clarity.

"For the first time, I can actually call myself a survivor," she said. "I thought I was healed from everything. I really did. I've been through a decade of therapy twice a week before this project started. So, when I got this movie, I thought, 'I'm ready. I'm strong. All my wounds are healed.' I quickly realized that that was not the case. When I was 16, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, especially when you're being controlled and groomed and not realizing what's happening. Now that my brain has developed at 31, sitting and watching the screener of this movie opened up wounds that I didn't even know existed inside of me. Now, I'm seeing clearly for the first time."

These days, Stodden is also focused on using her platform to advocate for young women and others who may be vulnerable to exploitation

"I wouldn't have been able to do any of this if it wasn't for, unfortunately, the thousands, I'm not even exaggerating, of messages a day that I get from concerned parents," she said. "Every time I open my direct messages, it is terrifying to know that I'm not alone, but there's strength in numbers. 34 states in America still allow adult predators to sign, to coerce and groom. Whether it's the parents, the child, or both. Whatever the situation, they have legal permission that says it's okay to creep on a minor legally."
