David Schwimmer Shuts Down Rumors That He's Been 'Spending Time' With Former 'Friends' Costar Jennifer Aniston
David Schwimmer is squashing rumors—and Friends fan’s hearts.
The 54-year-old actor called BS on recent reports that he and his former costar Jennifer Aniston have been “spending time” together.
While fans of the hit TV show would love nothing more than for the actors behind the beloved Rachel Greene and Ross Gellar duo to get together in real life, a representative for Schwimmer confirmed that it hasn’t happened.
There is apparently “no truth” to the rumors that the TV couple have been hanging out, according to what Schwimmer’s rep told the UK Sun.
The phony report ignited when a source told Closer magazine that filming Friends: The Reunion special “stirred up feelings” for the old on-screen lovers.
“They began texting immediately after filming and, just last month, David flew from his home in New York to see Jen in LA,” the insider claimed.
The source also reported that the pair had been seen together in Aniston’s home as well as a winery in Santa Barbara, Calif., a claim that appears to be baseless.

While Schwimmer denied that he and the Dumplin’ actress have been spicing things up, he did previously admit that there may have been a real-life flame behind the on-screen Friends couple.
“The first season, I had a major crush on Jen,” he spilled in the reunion special which premiered back in May. “At some point we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing, because one of us was always in a relationship.”
Aniston, 52, chimed in and added that the feelings were mutual.
“I remember saying at one point to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is...on national television!’ Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop,” The Morning Show star revealed during the reunion interview, referring to the iconic scene where Rachel and Ross share a smooch at Central Perk.
The series' stars both confirmed that nothing ever happened between the two of them, despite how much fans wanted them to.
“We never crossed that boundary,” Schwimmer said.
“We just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel,” Aniston added.
