Dakota Johnson Had An Epic Response After Her Father Don Johnson Threatened To Cut Her Off Financially: Watch
Kids say the darndest things! Acting legend Don Johnson financially cut off his daughter Dakota Johnson when she was a late teen — and her response was epic.
The Miami Vice star appeared virtually on the Late Night with Seth Meyers show this week and explained that all five of his children have the option to be financially helped, but under one condition.

“We have a rule in the family that, you know, if you stay in school, you get to stay on the payroll,” Don told Meyers. “So, you go to college, you get to stay on the payroll.”
He then explained the moment he approached his daughter Dakota about the family rule. “Toward the end of high school, I went to her, and I said, ‘So, do you want to go visit some colleges?’ Or something like that. And she was like, ‘Oh, no. I’m not going to college.’
Don continued: “I went, ‘OK, you know what that means? You won’t be on the payroll anymore,’” the Nash Bridges alum recalled, adding that he asked Dakota how she was “going to manage” to pay her bills. Without skipping a beat, Dakota responded, “Don’t you worry about it” and when he pressed his daughter for more details, she refused to give him any.
The Knives Out star then went on to reveal that just three weeks later, in 2010, Dakota was cast as Amelia Ritter in the hit film The Social Network. “And the rest is, shall we say, cinema history,” Don concluded.
