Emmy Awards Trying To Book Prince Harry & Meghan Markle, Royals In 'High Demand,' Source Spills
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be making their Hollywood debut sometime soon.
According to an L.A. TV source, the royal pair is a hot ticket for the upcoming Emmy awards: “The Sussexes are in high demand 一 it would be their first red carpet appearance since Megxit and their full-time Californian move.”
Emmy Award heads are reportedly trying to land the couple as guests at next month’s ceremony, and even want them to present an award.
An appearance from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be especially fitting this year, as their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey is in the running for the Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special category.
“Oprah is planning to attend the night, which could help get them there,” the source told The Sun.
Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special is up against four other series in the category, including My Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman, Stanley Tucci: Searching For Italy, United Shades Of America With W. Kamau Bell and Vice.

Markle, who just recently turned 40, is no stranger to life in Hollywood and the Television Academy. The former actress was known for her role as Rachel Zane on Suits before meeting her husband.
Her father, Thomas Markle, 77, also won three Emmys as a lighting director during his career in the industry.
The source also noted that the royal exiles would definitely be on the list for a “VIP invite” for the after-party hosted by Netflix.
“Netflix knows that shots of them with big Hollywood names would be huge PR,” the source said.
Harry and Meghan, who reside in Santa Barbara, Calif., recently welcomed their second child, Lilibet Diana, just a couple of months ago.
At the end of July, their new baby girl was finally added to the line of succession on the official website.
The 2021 Emmy Awards are set to take place on September 19 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Calif. They will be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer.
