Did Erin Andrews Know Pal Aaron Rodgers Was Engaged To Shailene Woodley?

Sportscaster Erin Andrews is speaking out about how she was “surprised” when she learned her pal and rumored ex, NFL legend Aaron Rodgers, got engaged to actress Shailene Woodley. 

Andrews appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen Wednesday, March 17, and explained that she knew nothing of Rodgers’ relationship with Woodley before the news that they would tie the knot broke.

"He kept that under covers. Wow, he really did," she dished to Cohen. "There was kind of rumors, I think, that they were dating, but yeah. I had no idea and then he unveiled it in his MVP speech. So, surprised everybody. Really kept that quiet." 

Rodgers shocked everyone on February 6 when he made the surprise announcement during his NFL MVP acceptance speech that he was engaged. He didn’t name his fiancée during the speech, but OK! later confirmed it was Woodley.   

"2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing, memorable moments," Rodgers described as he accepted the 2020 Most Valuable Player award. "One hundred-eighty straight days of having my nose hair scraped, a plan for very little fans or no stands the entire season, I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career."  

The Divergent star gushed about her new fiancé during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on February 22 while flaunting her giant engagement ring. “I never thought I’d be engaged [to] somebody who threw balls for a living,” Woodley joked. 

“We met during this whacky, whacky time,” she added, referring to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. “I didn’t really grow up with sports, especially American sports. It was never really on my radar. When we met, I knew he was a football guy, but I didn’t know like what kind of a football guy he was. And I’m constantly learning.”

The lovebirds are moving rather fast with their relationship. OK! recently learned that Rodgers is already looking forward to having kids with Woodley. "I'm recently engaged, so been enjoying that part of my life," the Green Bay Packers quarterback told Julien Tornare on Instagram Live after he was named North American brand ambassador for Zenith Watches in February. "The next great challenge will be being a father."

"I'll look forward to taking care of another life at some point," the athlete declared. "I think it's gonna be so fun. I've dreamt about what that will be like, I'm really excited about that chapter whenever that comes."
