'Sister Wives' Fans Shocked Christine Brown Was The First To Leave Husband Kody Brown, Hoping Meri Brown Will Follow Suit
Sister Wives shocker!
After Christine Brown revealed she and hubby Kody Brown split in a heartfelt message on social media, fans of the reality TV duo are expressing their opinions on the matter — with many glad she left him and hoping Meri Brown is next.
“It’s about time,” a user responded via podcast “Everyone’s Business (But Mine)” Instagram account, while another commented: “This is such good news. Opens the door for Meri to go next.”
“So is he down to 2 wives now? I hope Meri left too,” a third wrote, while a fourth quipped, “I am overjoyed. She is my favorite of the wives and deserves better.”
Over on an announcement from Kody’s page, the sentiment seemed to be the same. “I didn’t see Christine being the first, but I definitely can’t see her being the last. Just sad for the children,” a fan scoffed, while another said: “Christine?? I always thought it would be Meri first… congratulations .. time to move on,” adding three clapping emojis.

As OK! previously reported, Christine announced the pair’s split on Instagram Tuesday, November 2. “After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” she wrote. “We will continue to be a strong presence in each other's lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family.”
The reality TV duo tied the knot in March 1994 and share six children together: Aspyn, 26, Mykelti, 25, Paedon, 23, Gwendlyn, 20, Ysabel, 18, and Truely, 11.
Fans have reason to think Meri is on her way out as well. She recently returned home from traveling cross-country without Kody and the duo haven’t been spotted together in quite some time.
Meri and Kody’s relationship has been circling the drain since she was wrapped up in a catfishing scandal in 2015. The Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconventional Marriage author formed a connection with someone online she believed to be a man, but who turned out to be a woman.
Kody met Meri in 1989 and the two got engaged shortly after. They wed in 1990 and later welcomed Janelle Brown in 1993 into their plural marriage followed by Christine a year later. Meri then agreed to divorce Kody so he could legally marry Robyn Brown in 2014. The family patriarch considers himself spiritually married to all four women.
