Fans Demand Leah Remini Return To Guest Host 'The Wendy Williams Show' After Whitney Cummings Debut
The Wendy Williams Show fans are calling for the return of last week's guest host Leah Remini as Whitney Cummings made her hosting debut.
On Monday, October 25, the 39-year-old actress took to the "Hot Topics" table to begin her week-long stint taking over for Wendy Williams as Williams continues to focus on her health.
"It is completely surreal to be here. I just want to say thank you to Wendy for letting me guest host," Cummings gushed to the audience during the live broadcast. "What an honor."
Although the Good For You podcast host was thrilled to be there, some of Wendy's loyal followers were begging for the return of the Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath star.
"BRING BACK LEAH REMINI. First 20 minutes of the show and I'm bored," one viewer commented on Twitter. Another fan wrote: "This week is a let down after Leah Remini."

Under a video of Cummings and co-host Dulcé Sloan posted on the show's official Instagram account, one follower commented, "Bring back Leah and Michelle [Visage] please. I felt these two were trying to one up each other in the comedy department."
Wendy fans are now singing a much different tune as there was initial outrage when it was announced that different guest hosts — which also includes Sherri Shepard, who will take over next week for a five-day stint — would be taking turns filling in for the former radio jockey.
“Just call me when Sis is back in the purple chair,” one fan commented under the announcement as another devoted fan declared, "Not the same without Wendy.”
There has been no word on when Williams will return to her famed talk show as she continues to battle her failing health. The 57-year-old contracted a breakthrough case of COVID-19 prior to being hospitalized for "psychiatric services" in September.
