Going in the Wrong Direction: It may have felt good for Zayn Malik to give the Grammys the finger, but his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, is worried he's biting the hand that feeds, a source tells OK!.
The singer, 28, slammed the Recording Academy for its voting process ahead of the March 14 awards show — tweeting "f**k the Grammys" — only to insist later that he was "fighting for transparency & inclusion."
Still, "Gigi was really upset because she's convinced Zayn is shooting himself in the foot," says the source.
Making matters worse, the English crooner — who welcomed his first child, Khai, with the supermodel last September — saw his new album, Nobody is Listening, go nowhere on the charts.
Hadid, 25, "wants Zayn to be as successful as she is," another source dishes. "She believes in his talent, but she's having a hard time understanding why he'd piss people off when he needs more friends in the business, not less."

In the meantime, Hadid is trying to focus on family. Malik first announced the news of Khai's arrival on Instagram, saying that the newborn was "healthy and beautiful."
"To try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task," the "Pillow Talk" singer wrote alongside an adorable snap of the trio holding hands. "The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x."
On social media, the Vogue cover girl hasn't been shy about how much she loves being a mom, dubbing her baby as her "bestie" and joking that she "burps sunshine."
In another recent Instagram post, she shared a screenshot of a message from her baby daddy where he said, "Hey ... I'm obsessed w our kid."
