What Did Harry Styles Say When His Grammy Awards Acceptance Speech Was Bleeped Out?
When Harry Styles won his first ever Grammy Award on Sunday, March 14, fans didn’t expect the "Watermelon Sugar" singer to get bleeped out during his acceptance speech for Best Pop Solo Performance for the hit tune.
"This was the first song we wrote after my first album came out during a day off in Nashville," the 27-year-old began and thanked his team. "I fell very grateful to be here, thank you."
While U.S. viewers missed the next part of his speech, fans in other parts of the world were aired the uncensored version and helped to fill in the gaps.
"All of these songs are f**king massive so thank you so much," Styles gushed. "I feel very honored to be among all of you."
Styles looked as fashionable as ever in a purple boa, a yellow tweed jacket and a pink-striped sweater after he opened the night with a performance of "Watermelon Sugar." During his performance, he donned another feather boa and a black leather coat with no shirt underneath and matching trousers.
The former One Direction alum beat out Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish and Justin Bieber but Swift, whom he dated between 2012-2013, was spotted standing up and clapping for the "Adore You" crooner. Styles is currently dating Olivia Wilde, while Swift is still with long-time boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.
The exes were even snapped having a socially distanced chat before the ceremony, and the 31-year-old took home Album of the Year for the third time for folklore.
