Leaked Photos Of Harry Styles As The Little Mermaid's Ariel Go Viral, Sending Fans Into Twitter Frenzy
It's a whole new world for Harry Styles' fans after seeing the "Golden" singer dressed as Ariel from The Little Mermaid.
On Friday, April 16, Styles proved to be a "Sweet Creature" when the viral photoshoot — where Styles was wearing a seashell bra, green tail and red wig while holding up a glass of champagne and a cigarette — was apparently leaked from his 2019 Saturday Night Live appearance.
In other photos from the shoot, which made it to air, Styles switched up his mermaid ensemble for a ballerina look, rocking pink stockings and a pink tutu. In another set of shots, the 27-year-old wore a puffy shirt, replicating The Little Mermaid character Prince Eric.
Styles certainly isn't shy when it comes to dressing up and experimenting with bold new fashion styles. "There's so much joy to be had in playing with clothes," he told Vogue.

The Grammy winner has also never had a problem with challenging gender fashion norms, as he even "liked fancy dresses" as a kid, he told the outlet. "What's really exciting is that all of these lines are just kind of crumbling away. When you take away 'There's clothes for men and there's clothes for women,' once you remove any barriers, obviously you open up the arena in which you can play."
And while it's clear that Styles could pull off any character in the princess story, in 2019 he turned down the role of Prince Eric in the live-action movie starring Halle Bailey.
Regardless of his interest in the live-action movie, Styles previously shared his love for mythological creatures. In 2014, the One Direction alum unveiled his tattoo of a mermaid on his forearm. When asked why he got that specific tattoo, the handsome hunk said, as if stating the obvious: "I am a mermaid," Page Six reported.
Since Styles' Ariel photoshoot went viral, social media users were quick to create memes and praise the rock star turned Disney princess. One creative user even pointed to a connection between Styles and the movie when he wore a shirt that read: "But daddy, I love him."
