Heather Locklear In No Rush To Marry Fiancé Chris Heisser After Past Messy Divorces: 'A Wedding Is So Not Important'
Heather Locklear has found “The One.”
The Melrose Place alum rekindled her romance with high school boyfriend Chris Heisser a few years ago, and is “in a great place,” but she has zero cares if the two ever walk down the aisle together.
Heisser and Locklear graduated from Newbury Park High School in Los Angeles together in 1979, dated in 2017 before calling it quits while the actress worked through her sobriety issues and got back together in 2019.
The 60-year-old blonde beauty has been sober for two-and-a-half years after a rocky road that saw her in-and-out of rehab facilities.
The duo got engaged in April 2020, but Locklear is content in just letting the relationship sit in bliss and not pressuring the thought of a wedding.
“I'm like, 'You're my man for the rest of my life, whether we get married or not,’” she spilled to PEOPLE. “[A wedding] is so not important. We're together, and we love each other and support each other. And really that's all that matters.”

The T.J. Hooker alum and the contractor celebrated their 60th birthdays last month, yet Locklear is looking forward to the future and growing old with her hunky beau.
“I've always loved getting older because it means I'm alive,” she added. “I'm so grateful. I don't really give a hoot. I don't give a hoot about how I look. My parents still love me. My daughter loves me.”
Locklear shares 24-year-old daughter Ava with Richie Sambora. She filed for divorce from the Bon Jovi rocker in 2006 after 11 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause.
The Dynasty actress was notoriously married to rocker Tommy Lee from 1986-1993. The former flames split after the drummer reportedly cheated on Locklear. They did not have any children together.
