'The Show Has Changed A Lot': Heather Thomson Claims She Was 'Assaulted' While Filming Season 13 Of 'RHONY'
This Real Housewives reunion did not go as planned. Heather Thomson briefly returned to The Real Housewives of New York City and alleged that she was assaulted while filming season 13.
"I get assaulted this season," the 51-year-old said on the "Friends of Dorothy" podcast. "The show has changed a lot, breaking the fourth wall."
Thomson was due to return to RHONY as a full-time housewife after her stint spanning from season 5-7 but reportedly had a "messy" exchange with Leah McSweeney, which interfered with the return. Still, Thomson did not say who exactly "assaulted" her.
"People were interested in putting me down, dragging me down and showing me who is the queen bee. I just don’t have time for that stuff. It’s the new girl who was intimidated and wanted to show who’s the queen bee," Thomson said, but did not drop a name.
Meanwhile, McSweeney addressed the feud on her Instagram Story last month in a since-deleted post. "I don’t like women who slut shame other women. Act morally superior to other women. Plastic surgery shame other women. Gossip about other women doing drugs when you know damn well they’ve done drugs also. And lastly I don’t like when white women call black women 'articulate.' Especially while acting like the queen of wokeness," she wrote, according to Hollywood Life.
But the drama wasn't just between Thomson and McSweeney. Thomson also revealed on the podcast that she got into an argument with Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan while filming.

"My podcast comes up on the show and it’s totally taken out of context. They kept accusing me of talking sh*t behind their backs. They said that I was saying Luann was doing a lot of drugs, which I didn’t say," Thomson explained.
The podcast in question reportedly took place in September 2020 with Carole Radziwill; they claimed that "hard drugs" were present when the cast went on a trip to St. Barts in season 5. "Stronger drugs came out and I was like, 'Whoa.' I remember saying to Luann, like, 'I’m not into this, I’m asleep and there’s cameras right outside,'" Thomson said. "I’m just like, you guys gotta get out of here!"
As to why Thomson was slated to come back to the Housewives crew, a source previously explained to Us Weekly, "Heather’s popular history with the old cast and the excitement about new cast member Eboni K. Williams prompted production to maneuver [Heather’s] return."
However, the source said, "Shortly after she arrived, Leah and Heather butt heads. Heather could see Leah was acting up for the cameras and using behavior she considered demeaning and exploitative and frankly, crossed a line. Heather wanted no part of Leah so after she left that weekend Heather had no interest in continuing the season at all and stopped filming."
