'I Dream of Jeannie' star Barbara Eden was forced to pull out of a film festival appearance at the last minute on September 5.

Hollywood icon Barbara Eden was forced to drop out of Cinecon Classic Film Festival in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 5, due to falling ill.
Event organizers shared in a Facebook post the I Dream of Jeannie star, 95, had to cancel her appearance because of a “sudden illness.”
Barbara Eden fell sick and canceled her in-person appearance at the Cinecon Classic Film Festival.
“We’re sorry to share that, due to a sudden illness, Barbara Eden will no longer be able to appear in person at Cinecon tonight,” the festival announced.
“Barbara is deeply regretful that she had to cancel at the last minute, as she had been very much looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating with us,” they added.

“We know how many of you were excited to welcome Barbara. We appreciate your understanding and join you in sending her our best wishes for a speedy recovery,” the organization said.
Eden was set to receive the festival's Cinecon Legacy Award at the event on Saturday, however, actor Pat Boone still honored her at the commemoration.
The Cinecon Classic Film Festival celebrates Old Hollywood movies, and is a four-day bash that will conclude on Monday, September 7.

Barbara Eden Won't Be Stopping Her Acting Career Anytime Soon
'I Dream of Jeannie' aired on NBC from 1965 until 1970 for five seasons.
The Flaming Star actress turned 95 on August 23 and told Entertainment Weekly last month she has no interest in slowing down her acting career.
“If it’s well written, I’d probably do anything. If it’s well written,” the Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea star said, adding she's also open to playing more villain-type roles.
“I could be really mean," Eden stated.

Eden shot to fame in the 1960s NBC fantasy sitcom I Dream of Jeannie alongside actor Larry Hagman. She starred as the titular character who is a 2,000-year-old genie whom Hagman's character awakens from her bottle.
Eden discussed working with the Dallas star — who passed away in 2012 due to acute myeloid leukemia — at the time, telling the Huffington Post: "We just worked really hard. I knew that I loved working with Larry."
"He had his problems. He was not easy for the crew and the director. But for me, it was a dream. He's a fine actor. Our rhythms were the same — we fit," she recalled.
The Harper Valley PTA star also admitted she was "surprised" by the longevity of the comedy series, saying its success "hit" her when she saw a billboard of herself on Sunset Boulevard and on a TV screen in Rome.
