Jada Pinkett Smith's former lover, August Alsina, appears to be taking a trip down memory lane.
In his newly released track, "Shake the World," the rapper, 29, seemingly alluded to the affair he had with the Red Table Talk host, 50, while she was still married to longtime husband Will Smith, 53.
"Well, of course some s**t is bound to go down when you tangled up with the world's favorite," he sings in the new tune, hinting at the fling he had with The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star's wife, per The New York Post.
After publicly getting close to Alsina in 2015, the actress later confessed in July 2020 to having had a clandestine relationship with the artist, claiming she and Smith were separated at the time when things between her and Alsina became romantic.

Pinkett Smith famously called her involvement with Alsina an "entanglement" during the now-viral episode of her show, where she sat down with Smith to put everything on the table (literally!).
In his new track, Alsina also claimed to have been "canceled" after Pinkett Smith confirmed their affair, singing: "I heard I was canceled. Well, let's not speak on that. Red dot on my back, I became a target. And I'm flawed but flawless, that's what makes me August."
Alsina seems to have chosen a chaotic time to bring up old wounds involving Pinkett Smith and her husband, as the longtime pair is already dealing with enough drama following the I Am Legend actor's infamous Chris Rock slap at the Academy Awards last month.
As OK! reported, Smith got up on the Oscars stage to smack the comedian on Sunday, March 27, after Rock cracked a joke about his wife's bald head, which is a result of a health condition called alopecia.
After receiving an avalanche of backlash for getting physical with Rock on national TV, and being handed a warning from the Academy over potential consequences, Smith ended up taking matters into his own hands last week and officially resigned from the Academy.
