Wedding bells will be ringing for Josh Duhamel and his now-fiancée, Audra Mari!
The Life As We Know It star took to social media to announce the exciting news that he is officially engaged to the television host after nearly three years of dating.
"It's on!! She found a message in a bottle that washed ashore and said YES!! @audramari," the 49-year-old captioned a sweet Instagram snap on Saturday, January 8. The pic showed the happy couple all smiles on the beach as the Transformers actor showed the camera an adorable, handwritten note that said: "Audra Diane Mari Will You Marry Me?"
The replies were flooded with well-wishes from fans, friends, and fellow celebs, and one in particular even came from his ex.
"Congrats!!!💚💚💚💚💚💚" Fergie wrote in the comments.
Fans quickly replied directly to the "Big Girls Don't Cry" singer voicing their love for the Grammy winner. One user said, "look at you girl being supportive ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️" while another added, "love that you support the father of your child. My ex and I are still close and there’s nothing better than family."
The former couple — who first tied the knot in January 2009 and share son, Axl Jack, 8, together — announced they would be going their separate ways in 2017.
"With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year," they said in a joint statement at the time. "To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public ... We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family."
The pair didn't file for divorce until mid-2019, two years after their breakup.
The Safe Haven actor spoke about his desires for another serious relationship and more children in 2018 during a segment of Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast.
"I'm not 30 years old anymore. I'm 45. I want to have more kids in the next few years," the father-of-one told the show host. "So it's more about finding someone young enough to have kids," he explained. "I'm trying to find a girl that I can be with and have a family with."
Duhamel's January 8 proposal came on Mari's 28th birthday — what a birthday present!
