Julianne Hough’s got a new partner! A year after filing for divorce from former hockey pro Brooks Laich, the Dancing With the Stars alum has moved on to a hot new romance with model Charlie Wilson.
“They’re already pretty serious,” a source tells OK! “It’s still in the early stages, just a few weeks, but Julianne’s telling friends that she feels like she’s finally found her soulmate.”
The Safe Haven star, who was spotted giddily embracing her new beau outside an Los Angeles restaurant on November 19, struggled to find that same breezy bond with Laich.
She revealed they had trouble with “connection and intimacy” and even sought sex counseling — just months before their three-year marriage fell apart.
But Wilson has felt like a more organic fit for Hough from the jump. “They met through a spiritual group,” says the source. “Julianne was eager to connect with someone on a deeper level, and she was thrilled to find out Charlie’s into energy healing too. Like her, he’s a little bit of a hippie and geared toward finding a calm, positive approach to life.”

They’re so aligned, says the source, that the 33-year-old already threw a dinner party to introduce him to her friends — “They all think they’re an amazing match” — and hasn’t balked at Charlie being a dad to two young kids.
"As daunting as that sounded at first, she’s definitely warmed to the idea of being a stepmom figure,” shares the source. “Julianne’s really excited about Charlie and looking forward to what the future brings."
Hough has been keeping busy as of late. She was set to host CBS' The Activist alongside Usher and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, but the reality series was yanked from the network's lineup in September after receiving a myriad of complaints and being slammed as tone-deaf.
Last month, she also returned to her old stomping grounds to guest host the season 30 finale of Dancing With the Stars after her brother Derek Hough was diagnosed with a breakthrough case of COVID-19.
