Kanye West Surprises Fans With Jay-Z Track On 'Donda' Following Feud, Kim Kardashian Attends Album Release Event
When Kanye West held an album release event to promote Donda, the last person fans expected to hear on the speakers was Jay-Z.
On Thursday, July 22, West played Donda for fans at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Estranged wife Kim Kardashian and their children; North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm were reportedly in attendance. Khloé Kardashian was also said to be at the event, per TMZ.
As his tracks played for the crowd, West, 44, danced and paced around, while standing still during other moments.
The new alblum is named after his late mother, Donda West, and featured snippets from her. Fans were also excited to hear guest appearances from Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Don Toliver and Vory. This is West's tenth studio album following 2019's Jesus Is King.
However, the showstopper was the final track on the album, which features Jay-Z. The event was reportedly delayed by almost two hours, which is suspected to be because Jay-Z's verse was said to be recorded just hours before.
"HOV did the verse today!!!! At 4pm," the 51-year-old's producer and engineer, Young Guru, tweeted,

The duo had previously been feuding for several years, which first came to light when the "Empire State of Mind" hitmaker and Beyoncé did not attend West and Kardashian's 2014 wedding. In 2016, the "Famous" singer lashed out when Jay-Z allegedly did not check in on his family after Kardashian was held at gunpoint in Paris.
Jay-Z also slammed West on his 4:44 album, prompting the Yeezy designer to depart from Jay's streaming service Tidal. Although their collab album Watch The Throne will turn ten next month, this is the first time the musicians have seemed cordial with each other in several years.
Meanwhile, Kardashian filed for divorce in February after seven years of marriage, but the estranged couple do not seem to be on bad terms.
As previously reported by OK!, the former power couple reportedly reunited in San Francisco, Calif., for some family fun with their kiddos. ""Everyone looked really happy and in a good mood," a source told Us Weekly. "The kids were running around and laughing."
