Kelly Ripa 'Getting Rid' of Her 'Luxurious' Shower Oil as She Fears 'Slippery' Substance Will One Day Kill Her: 'I Know What My Obituary Will Say'

Kelly Ripa had a realization about one of her favorite parts of her shower routine.

During the Monday, August 17, episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, the longtime talk show host was discussing the "luxurious" shower oil with her husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos, when she admitted that, despite loving the product, she may have to get rid of it.

"We have a nice body oil that I like to put on when I'm still, like, damp in the shower. But we have to stop that because..." she started.

Consuelos chimed in, "It's slippery..."

Ripa joked that the product could ultimately be her downfall.

"Because I know what my obituary will say. I will slip in the shower, and that will be the end of me," she continued as the audience laughed.

"I know," her husband agreed.

Ripa continued her confession, "A couple of times I've forgotten things, like, I've forgotten..."

"And you step back in," Consuelos added.

"You step back in, and that's that; it's slippery. It's a big slip," she shared, before Consuelos proclaimed, "You got to be careful."

"So we have to get rid of our luxurious and delightful body oil," the mother-of-three declared.

Consuelos confessed, "Yeah, I rarely put it on. I've put it on it 10 times in my life."

"Mm-hmm," Ripa teased as she rolled her eyes.

"Seriously," her husband of 30 years doubled down.

Ripa then questioned, "It's amazing, though, that we go through it so fast."

"I don't use it. I would tell you if I use it," Consuelos claimed.

Ripa interjected, "Somebody's using it," to which he quipped, "Well, it could be Lena."

"She's in there with her little paws," Ripa laughed as she imitated their dog pumping the body oil.

Ripa had also discussed her bathing habits on the Thursday, April 16, episode of Live. During the episode, she and Consuelos discussed a trending wellness habit known as "dark showering," explaining that the practice involves showering in dim light.

"Have you heard of dark showering? Dark showering in low light. It's a lifestyle trend that promises better sleep," he began as Ripa revealed she’s already been doing something similar for years.

"I try to shower in complete darkness at all times," Ripa confessed.

To her husband's surprise, he questioned, "Really?"

She continued, "Yes, there's nothing more frightening than seeing me soaking wet. 'Cause we have, like, a glass-door shower, and you can see yourself in the mirror, which is, you know, terrifying. Terrifying."
