Khloé Kardashian's 'The Girls' Producers Explain Show's Brief Removal: 'That Was a Glitch With the App, Not Adjustments'

Khloé Kardashian’s new reality show The Girls’ producers explained that the show’s brief removal was due to a technical error, rather than any adjustments.

The Kardashians star is broadening her horizons by executive producing the new Hulu reality show, which focuses on her inner circle of friends as they navigate life's ups and downs. The show first aired on the streaming platform on August 21.

However, shortly after its airing, the series disappeared from the platform, giving rise to speculation. According to the producers, the show was removed because of a glitch on the streaming app.

The new show stars the 42-year-old along with her BFFs Yris Palmer, Nicole Williams English, Khadijah Haqq, Malika Haqq, Olivia Pierson and Natalie Halcro.

Although many of them have previously appeared on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, this is the first time the focus is completely on their lives while the youngest Kardashian sister plays more of a background role.

Fans were excited to get a closer look at the lives of her inner circle of friends. Hence, the abrupt removal of the show after its airing sent them wondering what could be going on.

A fan took to TikTok speculating that maybe the show was taken down to “make some adjustments.”

Noting that the production team could be re-editing the series to add confessionals, the fan said, “I’m speculating and hoping that this could possibly be producers making changes.”

Nixing the speculation at the root, the production company Bunim-Murray responded to the TikTok user in the comment section, saying, “Hiiii producers here!”

“That was a glitch with the app…. Not adjustments. It has been fixed,” they replied.

On Thursday, August 20, Yris and the twin Haqq sisters spoke to Page Six on their “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast ahead of the show’s release.

Yris revealed that they indeed shot the juicy segment for the show; however, “They took our confessionals out.”

The 36-year-old added, “There's plenty of times, I'm sure, the things that I've said are going to be taken out of context.”

“I would love to explain myself, especially as someone who's never been on reality TV before,” she remarked.

Malika interjected, “I wanted to speak from my side.”

“If you say something behind your friend's back 'cause she's not in the scene, you kind of want the opportunity,” she continued.

While she noted that she wasn't sure why their confessionals were removed, she appreciated Khloé stepping in to fill that gap for them.

“Khloé is your full-on confessionals for one through six,” she said.

“You will get it from her perspective, and her visuals, and maybe that is her way of saving us and keeping us clean, I don't know,” she mused.

She also acknowledged that she liked the fact that the “Khloé in Wonder Land” host was “very honest about how she feels about every last one of us.”
