Does Kim Kardashian Support Kanye West's New Romance With Irina Shayk? 'KUWTK' Star Reportedly 'Knew' They Were Seeing Each Other
Kanye West has received the stamp of approval from estranged wife Kim Kardashian in regards to his budding romance with new flame Irina Shayk, according to a source.
“Kim knew that Kanye and Irina were dating,” an insider spilled, noting that the Grammy winner and model have "been quietly seeing each other for a couple of months."
The KKW beauty founder, 40, was apparently impressed with how Shayk handled her split from Bradley Cooper — the former flames broke up in 2019 after four years together and share 3-year-old daughter Lea de Seine — and admired how she kept her personal life on the down-low.
“Kim doesn’t mind because she saw how quiet and respectful Irina was after she broke up with Bradley,” the source continued, adding that the KUWTK reality star "wouldn't like" to see her soon-to-be ex-husband with someone "who's going to talk to the press."
News of West's latest relationship comes after the 44-year-old and Kardashian split earlier this year, with the reality star officially filing for divorce from the rapper in February. In the court documents, the parents of North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and Psalm, 2, reportedly both asked to share joint legal and physical custody of their children.
And while their divorce plays out, the "Power" rapper has kept himself busy with the 35-year-old model. "Irina and Kanye have been spending time together and getting to know one another," a source told Us Weekly, who reported that Kardashian was aware of their romance. "He’s always thought she was beautiful and they’re both looking forward to seeing where this goes."
In fact, West chose to spend his 44th birthday with the mother-of-one, as Daily Mail obtained photos of the two taking a stroll in Provence, France, on Tuesday, June 8.
Despite calling off their relationship after nearly seven years of marriage, Kardashian posted a sweet tribute for the father of her children's birthday. “Happy Birthday. Love U for life!" she captioned the family photo.
Kardashian may always hold a torch for her third husband — with an OK! insider dishing that she “still has love for Kanye” — but she has "completely moved on" from their marriage. During a recent episode of KUWTK, the makeup mogul opened up about the marital struggles she and West were facing.
“Why am I still in this place where I’m stuck for years? Like he goes and moves to a different state, every year, and I have to be together so I can raise the kids, you know?" she said to her famous sisters with tears in her eyes while referring to West’s move from Los Angeles to Wyoming.
Kardashian emphasized that West deserves someone who can "support his every move" and "follow him all over the place," but that can't be her.
