Safe & Sound: Lady Gaga's Two French Bulldogs Recovered Unharmed Following Violent Robbery That Left Dog Walker Shot

A happy ending!

Lady Gaga's two French bulldogs, which were stolen in an armed robbery that left their dog walker hospitalized, were recovered unharmed on Friday, February 27, Los Angeles police said.

According to Capt. Jonathan Tippett, commanding officer of the elite Robbery-Homicide Division, a woman brought the dogs to the LAPD's Olympic Community Police Station, just northwest of downtown, around 6 p.m. The woman who dropped off the dogs appears to be “uninvolved and unassociated" with Wednesday night's attack, he said. 

The "Bad Romance" singer's rep and detectives went to the station and confirmed that they were the dogs.  It wasn't immediately clear how she obtained the dogs.

The violent dognapping took place Wednesday, February 24, in Los Angeles. Just before 10 p.m., Lady Gaga’s dog walker Ryan Fischer was out with the singer’s three pups on West Hollywood's Sierra Bonita Avenue when two men rolled up to him in a white sedan. A neighbor's surveillance video caught one of the men cocking a gun and yelling "give it up."

The 30-year-old dog walker can be seen putting up a fight, screaming for help and yelling for Koji — one of the dogs — before he is shot in the chest four times. As he collapses on the sidewalk, the thieves pile back into the car with Koji and another one of Gaga's dogs named Gustavo. The third dog, named Miss Asia, escapes and runs back to Fischer.

The victim was reportedly conscious when first responders arrived on the scene, but he had to be rushed to the hospital as he was struggling to breathe. He is now said to be “recovering well” after being ambushed. Miss Asia was recovered by authorities at the scene.

Following the horrific event, the pop star, who is currently in Rome filming the movie Gucci, offered a $500,000 reward, “no questions asked," to anyone who can return her beloved pooches, according to Daily Mail. Former FBI Agent Frank Montoya Jr. later slammed Gaga's decision telling the the outlet her reward had not only put the LAPD's investigation at risk, but opened up a market for criminals to start stealing celebrity dogs and returning them for high ransoms.
