Rapper OTF DThang, who is Lil Durk's older brother, has been found dead at the age of 32.
According to NY Daily News, Cook County authorities said that OTF DThang (legal name: Dontay Banks Jr.) was found dead on the 7900 block of S. Loomis Blvd. in Chicago.
According to TMZ, there are reports that DThang was shot in the head outside of a nightclub and died on the scene, with alleged witnesses reporting that they saw the shooting.
Lil Durk has not yet publicly commented on his brother's death. The "Laugh Now Cry Later" crooner previously lost pal King Von, who was shot and killed at the age of 26 outside an Atlanta nightclub in November 2020. His cousin, McArthur Swindle, known as OTF Nunu, was also shot dead in 2014.
King Von's uncle, Range Rover Hang, reacted to the news and said that Lil Durk needs to stop namedropping people in his music. "This what got his brother shot. I'm not going to say killed because I don't know if he dead," Hang said, according to HNHH.
"WHEN WILL YOU SLIDEEEEEERE I know 'excuses.' 'The feds watchin.' 'You Tranna get n***as caught up.'" 6ix9ine reportedly wrote in a since-removed Instagram Story. "YOUR BROTHER JUST GOT A BULLET IN HIS HEAD…GOOOOO SLIDEEEE."
Lil Durk, 28, is best known as the creator of Only the Family record label and for hits such as "Still Trappin'" and "Should've Ducked."
