The “Old Town Road” singer caused quite the stir at the 2021 Met Gala on Monday, September 13. The 22-year-old stunned in not one, not two, but three jaw-dropping looks, styled by the world-renowned Hodo Musa.
He first graced the carpet draped in a gold velvet cloak with a long train before removing his cape to reveal a full gold suit of armor. After ditching his armor, he opted for a form-fitting, long-sleeve gold jeweled black bodysuit.
The Grammy winner completed his fabulous ensemble with black combat boots and a gold choker.
An unwritten rule at fashion’s biggest night, set by Vogue’s mega-editor Anna Wintour, is no selfies. However, the Montero artist — overjoyed with seeing many of his favorite fellow celebs — threw that out the window and shared many snaps throughout the night on social media.
Lil Nas X snapped some portraits with comedian Pete Davidson, Jack Harlow and singer Frank Ocean. He even continued the bathroom selfie tradition — started by reality TV icon Kylie Jenner in 2017 — and captured a shot with pop princess Billie Eilish.
