Lollapalooza has officially cut DaBaby from this year's lineup following his homophobic and sexist rant at his July 25 show.
The world famous Chicago music festival posted the news publicly on Twitter, citing that the decision was made because they were founded on "diversity, inclusivity, respect, and love".
Due to the change, schedule was shifted to have G Herbo performing at 4 p.m. on the T-Mobile Stage, and Young Thug will go on at 9 p.m. on the Bud Light Seltzer Stage.
As OK! previously reported, the "Masterpiece" artist shocked concert goers when he interrupted his performance to go on a rant full of sexism, homophobia, and misinformation about HIV and AIDS.
"If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that'll make you die in two to three weeks," he shouted out to the crowd, "then put your cellphone lighter up."
The rapper didn't leave it at that, and brazenly continued, calling out women, before taking another dig at the LGBTQ+ community. "Ladies, if your p***y smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up."
Dua Lipa — who previously collabed with the hit artist for a remix of her song "Levitating" — said that she was "surprised and horrified" by his behavior. "I really don’t recognize this as the person I worked with."
Though DaBaby has received a considerable amount of criticism, not all venues had a problem with his words at the July 25 Rolling Loud show. The rapper still took the stage at the Payne Arena in Texas on Friday, July 30.
Manager, Eric Treviño, claimed to be "excited" for the show to go on, saying "we support every single artist of all kinds here, and we're going to continue bringing bigger and bigger artists here to Hidalgo, Texas."
