Is the queen of pop ready for a new king? It looks like Madonna is now single and ready to mingle after apparently calling it quits with her long-time boyfriend Ahlamalik Williams.
According to a source, the icon, 63, told her friends she's back on the market after deciding things between her and the American dancer, 28, weren't working out, it was reported. The rumored former flames — who have a 35-year age gap — began dating back in 2019, with the "Material Girl" songstress often posting snaps of her man on her social media.
Madonna appears to be fueling the break up rumors, as she seemed to hint the two have gone their separate ways with a cryptic post to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, April 26.
"KARMA SAID: when somebody in your life is not right for you….. God will continuously use them to hurt you until you become strong enough to let them go," the post concluded.
And while split rumors only recently began circulating, the insider told The Sun the rumored exes actually called it quits in January and that the decision was amicable. “Things have been on and off with Ahlamalik for a while. There’s a lot of love but for now they have decided to separate," explained the insider, who insisted, "they are still on good terms and there are no hard feelings but they are at different places with their lives."
After spending months together on tour and in lockdown, Ahlamalik "moved out of her home," added the source to the publication. "With them both working on other things, it was hard to keep their romance alight."
“Madonna has thrown herself into a busy social life and has been seeing her friends and family after the split," said the source, which explains her slew of recent social media snaps of her partying with pals. “She has a packed schedule, working on her upcoming biopic, new music and looking after her family."
Madonna and Ahlamalik first met when he was dancing on her Rebel Heart tour in 2015. When news of their romance made headlines in 2019, Ahlamalik's dad, Drue, reportedly said he supported their relationships despite their extreme age difference.

"She told us she is so much in love with him and that we didn’t have anything to worry about as she was going to take care of him," Drue reportedly spilled at the time. (The pop legend helped Ahlamalik land a lucrative deal with fashion designer Stella McCartney, as well as collaborated with him on a song to help launch his music career.)
“We know there’s a huge age gap between the two. Madonna is two years older than me," Ahlamalik's dad pointed out, per the outlet, but he asked his son how "he feels" about Madonna at the time, and "he says he has never been happier."
