Melania Trump returned to the spotlight on Thursday, August 20, after a month away — and her recent appearance had social media users questioning the reasoning behind her absence.
As OK! reported, the FLOTUS took the podium at the White House's Rose Garden to thank sponsors for donating money to her Fostering the Future scholarship, which helps children in foster care.
'I Heard You Missed Me'
Some social media users wondered if Melania Trump was away from the spotlight to recover from a plastic surgery procedure.
"I heard you missed me. Here I am," the mom-of-one, 56, quipped as she began her speech.
Donald Trump's wife donned a blue shirt with the collar popped up and tucked it into a long, bright red skirt. While she wore her usual makeup and hair in her typical style, some critics thought her face appeared tweaked.
"Melania had her eyes done. That's why she's been missing for a month," one person alleged on X, to which another individual replied, "My thoughts exactly. You can see her eyes again."
Did the FLOTUS Have Plastic Surgery?
Multiple people thought the FLOTUS may have changed the look of her eyes.
"I've been saying this. Plastic surgery needs time to heal 😏," another critic penned, while a fourth joked, "Well, she better open her eyes to see what her wacko husband is doing with Natalie [Harp]…"
No one has responded to the most recent accusations, but the former model has denied getting work done in the past.

Inside Melania Trump's Relationship With Natalie Harp
Before August 20, the former model hadn't been seen in one month.
While Melania was absent, Donald's aide Natalie appeared to almost always be by his side, which sparked questions from the public.
In addition to tagging along to Lindsey Graham's funeral while the FLOTUS stayed behind, recent reports revealed Natalie often leaves personal notes for the president in "private spaces."
Biographer Michael Wolff wrote in his Substack that he believes Melania and Natalie are in a "power struggle."
“Melania, whose appearances with her husband were carefully negotiated and choreographed, would not show up if Harp was around,” he explained. “Since Harp was always around, Melania never was — appearing with her husband only in the last week of the campaign.”
'She Has Given Up the Role of Wife'
A biographer claimed Melania Trump refused to attend events where Natalie Harp was present.
"Other than at ceremonial occasions, or in a strictly official capacity, she has given up the role of wife," the writer continued of Melania. “Practically speaking, there is no room for her.”
Natalie's constant presence has become the talk of the town, but several people have come to her defense when it comes to speculation about her devotion to Donald.
"Natalie is an incredible young woman — a cancer survivor, a genuinely good person, and arguably one of the hardest-working people in the White House," Eric Trump raved while speaking with CNN, noting she's "deeply committed" to Donald and the country.
