Bombshell Book Claims Prince Charles Was The Royal Who Asked About Meghan Markle & Prince Harry's Future Children's Complexions
Mystery solved?
Rumors have swirled ever since Meghan Markle made the shocking claim that certain royals had voiced "concerns" about "how dark" her son Archie's skin tone might be, but a new book is shedding light on just who might have been the spark that lit the fire behind those talks.
According to Page Six, a source who contributed to Christopher Andersen's upcoming royal exposé, Brothers And Wives: Inside The Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan, Prince Charles had a similar conversation with his wife, Camilla, shortly after Prince Harry and Markle's engagement announcement.
Charles reportedly posed the question casually over a private breakfast, asking" "I wonder what the children will look like?" causing his wife to be "somewhat taken aback" by the question.
"Well, absolutely gorgeous, I'm certain," she replied, to which Charles clarified his meaning, adding: "I mean, what do you think their children’s complexion might be?"

Though the source did not confirm that this is the specific incident that the Suits actress was talking about during her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, the author of the book does seem to believe that whispers of it spread and similar conversations were had throughout the palace.
“The question posed by Charles was being echoed in a less innocent way throughout the halls of Buckingham Palace,” Anderson wrote, seeming to imply Prince Charles had simply been innocently curious in his musings, but that it had turned into something much more nefarious by the time Meghan and Harry heard about it.
This comes after OK! reported that despite tensions in the royal family, Prince Harry is still "anxious to heal the [family] rift sooner rather than later," and amid his grandmother's continued ailing health, the 37-year-old is hoping to make a trip to the palace for the holidays.
“Meghan once said she would never set foot in the U.K. again after how she was treated by The Firm,” the source spilled. “And no one thinks she would let Archie or Lili out of her sight for even five minutes, so it’s likely Harry would make the trip alone.”
"He doesn’t regret leaving [royal life] and settling in California," the source continued. "but he’s hoping to find a happy medium where there’s no more tension or awkwardness."
