Prince William & Kate Middleton Enjoy Family Lunch With Kids At A Beer Garden: 'They Were Laughing And Chatting' Like 'Any Other Family,' Says Source
Prince William and Kate Middleton enjoyed a perfect day over the weekend with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at a beer garden.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took their royal little ones out for lunch to a beer garden just outside of London. Despite being photographed by the paps, the prestigious family was seen having a normal meal at a Norfolk pub, according to an eyewitness, as if they were any other ordinary family.
“It was amazing to see how down-to-earth the family were,” an onlooker told The Sun, adding: “It would have been easy to miss them — and just assume they were any other family.”
While the family-of-five — who was joined by their dog — sat at an outdoor picnic table eating burgers and fries, “They were laughing and chatting and clearly enjoying each other’s company,” the insider detailed, speculating that they may have chosen to eat outside "because it was easier for the children.”
The source also pointed out there was “no security around” and it was “just them chilling like any other family." William — proving to be just like any other father — even went into dad mode when he realized one of his children was upset with their food, as he made sure to calm his little one down and fix the problem.

“There was one particularly touching moment where one of the children got upset because their food was too hot,” the spy said. “William was so fast to reassure them and sort them out. It was fantastic to see."
William and Kate, both 39, donned casual outfits for their day out, wearing dark sweaters and pants. As for George, 8, and Charlotte, 6, the young royals were dressed in T-shirts while Louis, 3, wore a pullover sweater — just like his dad!
William and Kate's low key outing with their children came as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been making headlines for their trip to New York City. OK! reported the couple checked into Princess Diana's favorite hotel in the Big Apple last week ahead of their Global Citizen Live appearance on Saturday, September 25, in Central Park.
The late royal is said to have stayed at the Carlyle hotel in the Royal Suite during her visits, which was apparently where William and Kate stayed during their 2014 trip. However, it was reported that Harry and Meghan were not staying in the 1,800-square-foot pad, which now costs upwards of $8,000 a night.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's visit to NYC marked the first time they took a trip since welcoming their second child, daughter Lilibet Diana, three months prior. Harry and Meghan started their trip by visiting The World Trade Center on Thursday, September 23, before going to the 9/11 Museum and memorial.
The red-headed prince — who has reportedly been at odds with his older brother ever since he and Meghan stepped back from their senior royal duties — and former actress continued their trip the following day by spending time at P.S. 123 Mahalia Jackson School in Harlem.
