Queen Elizabeth II Longing For Quality Time With Prince Harry & 'Desperate To Make Peace' With Meghan Markle, Says Source
The woman who has it all is in want of only one thing: a visit from her grandson!
A source tells OK! that Queen Elizabeth II has been longing for quality time at the palace with her beloved Prince Harry, who fled England and his royal status for California last year.
During the months that Harry, 37, and his wife, Meghan Markle, 40, have been gone, the queen lost her husband of nearly 74 years, Prince Philip, and is aching for the comfort of family — including great-grandchildren Archie, 2, and 3-month old Lilibet, her namesake that she’s yet to meet.
“Her Majesty’s been sending messages to appeal to Harry’s better nature, and she’s also desperate to make peace with Meghan,” claims the source, who adds that she’s even dispatched Duchess Kate Middleton to reach out.
“Kate and Meghan exchanged a few emails, and there's been a warming trend,” the insider continues.

At 95, the queen “knows time is of the essence,” notes the source, who explains that she’s lately been forced to face her own mortality. (Rumors of “Operation London Bridge” — England’s in-place protocol for her eventual passing and Prince Charles’ accession to the throne — were reportedly leaked in early September.)
“There’s concern her reign could be nearing the end,” the royal insider adds.
But the source says the steadfast monarch remains “hopeful” that Harry will spend the holidays with her at Sandringham. “She wants Meghan to join too, and not stay behind [in the States] with the children,” shares the source.
“Seeing Harry with his growing family would bring her so much joy,” the insider concludes.
If the former actress were to jet abroad for the holidays, it would mark the first time she has come face-to-face with the royal family since her and Harry's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey — where they exposed what life what really like behind palace walls.
