The Real Housewives of Potomac's Askale Davis Out As 'Friend Of' After Making Season 6 Debut
The Real Housewives of Potomac is gearing up for a thrilling seventh season — but it will not include Askale Davis.
The fan-favorite "friend of" the housewives — who joined the Bravo series in season six — was reportedly not invited to return to the show alongside stars Karen Huger, Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, Ashley Darby, Wendy Osefo, Mia Thornton and Candiace Dillard.
According to TV Deets, RHOP production officially kicked off in the Potomac area last week, with filming starting with the cast on Tuesday, March 22. A production insider previously spilled that all of the Season 6 full-time housewives were given a contract to return, while Davis' status had not been confirmed until now.
On March 25, Instagram account Bravo and Cocktails caught a snap of Bryant, Huger, Dixon and Darby filming a scene for the new season, with the ladies later taking to social media with their own pictures and videos from one of the first group scenes.
Although it may be awhile before the show hits screens, devoted fans will not have to wait long for the return of the Grand Dame, 58. Huger will be starring in her own spin-off show, RHOP: Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion that premieres on April 17 at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

Despite the show's near year-long hiatus, the cast still knows how to make headlines. As OK! previously reported, during a sit down with Chanel Omari on the “Chanel in the City” podcast, Bryant spilled that RHONY star Ramona Singer was not the most welcoming housewife in the franchise.
“I’ve always gotten a massive amount of love from all the other housewives on every other franchise except Ramona Singer,” the Reasonably Shady founder, 51, noted. "But I mean, and she doesn’t really count.”
“We all know what each other does, right? And we’re all in this thing together. And there aren’t many of us. You know, when you put this in perspective, there aren’t really many of us!” she said in November 2021 of meeting her fellow housewives from other cities.
Bryant — who is known for her blunt statements — emphasized of Singer, 65: “I don’t know what her issues are. And quite frankly, it’s not even any of my business. Like, it doesn’t affect me in any way. You know, she is who she is, right?”
