Bethenny Frankel Engaged To Beau Paul Bernon After Finalizing Long-Standing Jason Hoppy Divorce
It's out with the old and in with the new for Bethenny Frankel!
The Real Housewives of New York City star is reportedly engaged to boyfriend Paul Bernon after finalizing her divorce from Jason Hoppy — eight years after they initially called it quits.
As OK! previously reported, Frankel sparked engagement rumors after she was seen wearing a giant diamond ring on that finger over the weekend on a beach in Florida with her on-again-off-again boyfriend and daughter. Frankel and fiancé Bernon were first linked in October 2018 — only weeks after ex-boyfriend Dennis Shields died in August of that year.
News of the couple's engagement comes after it was confirmed that a judge signed off on Frankel and Hoppy's divorce on January 20, Page Six reported. Frankel and Hoppy, both 50 — who share 10-year-old daughter Bryn — tied the knot in 2010 and announced their split in December 2012. The brunette beauty filed for divorce one month later.
Although they reached a financial settlement in July 2016, the co-parents remained in a nasty custody battle over Bryn for years. Meanwhile, Frankel was cozying up with her new love, as the two were reportedly living together and looking for homes in September 2019.

Despite being in a serious relationship, Frankel said she couldn't think about marrying Bernon while she was still married to Hoppy last September. The reality star — who is gearing up for her new HBO Max reality competition series, The Big Shot with Bethenny — shocked fans when she revealed that she was still “legally married” to Hoppy during her appearance Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last year.
However, it looks like she can now see herself walking down the aisle again following her official divorce from Hoppy.
Frankel and Bernon briefly split in October, but the reality star shared that the duo were back on via a touching Instagram post on Valentine's Day. "Behind every woman… (you fill in the blanks here.)," she captioned the mirror selfie with Bernon standing behind her.
At the time of their brief split, Frankel candidly opened up about their breakup while speaking to Ellen DeGeneres. "Not everything works out," Frankel told the embattled host, noting that she and Bernon had a "great, great relationship and I’m really happy." At the time, the mother-of-one explained that "not everything has to end badly," and sometimes "things just don’t continue and it’s not negative, it’s just life."
PEOPLE was the first to confirm Frankel and Bernon's engagement.
