'Sometimes I Feel Like I'm Dying': Months After Armie Hammer Fling, Rumer Willis Candidly Opens Up About 'Bad Anxiety' She's Endured
Actress Rumer Willis is opening up about her struggles with mental health. The brunette beauty took to her Instagram Story on Monday, February 22, to talk about her "bad anxiety" that sometimes makes her "feel like [she's] dying."
“I get nauseous and my heart won’t slow down,” the 32-year-old captioned the soundless video of herself staring blankly at the camera in a white t-shirt. "It sometimes feels like a force so much bigger than me has taken over the control panel in my [brain]."
The eldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore said she's learned to not fight or resist these challenging thoughts and feelings. "I have to catch myself when I find myself focusing on just wishing it was somehow different," The House Bunny actress added. “So here I am, sitting here feeling like I’m gonna melt, even though I know I won’t and just trying to lean into the discomfort as scary and painful as that is."
Willis did not share if something triggered these sudden feelings, but said that she "felt so loved and supported" after receiving "amazingly kind messages" following her candid post about her anxiety. "I decided to take charge of my day. Put on a new dress," she captioned the video of herself posing for the camera before blowing a kiss and smiling. "Put on some music and dance it out."
Her supportive followers showered her with heart emojis and smiley faces with heart eyes.

In January, Willis celebrated four years of sobriety. At the time she explained: "I feel immense gratitude that even when I have no escape from the feelings that come up no matter hard or painful they may be, I try my best to live through them and come out the other side."
Last year, Willis had a brief fling with headline-making actor Armie Hammer. A source recently said that, following the release of Hammer's alleged DMs detailing cannibalistic fantasies, Willis "feels badly for all of the victims. She’s really grateful she didn’t get caught up in the Armie nightmare.”
Meanwhile, at the start of last year, Willis' sister, Tallulah, 27, got real about her own personal struggles, opening up about her relationship with alcohol and food.
She shared a photo of herself to Instagram last January and said she understood that she "can be considered underweight" and that she needs to put “a bit more padding on this flesh suit.” Tallulah — the youngest of the three daughters — added that she's been practicing "a deeper awareness,” as part of her "journey of healing."
