'Sister Wives' Stars Meri Brown & Kody Brown 'Have Zero Relationship' & Are Only 'Together For TV', Source Claims
In the midst of Kody Brown's recent split from third wife Christine Brown, a source has revealed that his relationship with first wife Meri Brown is almost non-existent.
A source explained to US Weekly that the Sister Wives couple, who are only married "spiritually" and not "legally", "have had zero relationship — it’s all fake.”
“They’re together for TV, essentially," the insider said of the state of Meri and Kody's nearly thirty-year relationship.
According to the source, the 50-year-old “has become very independent” in recent months. “Meri spends a lot of time with her kids and goes wherever they go,” the insider said of the small business owner, who shares 26-year-old daughter Mariah with Kody.
Meri has clearly been living it up as of late. The reality star went on a whirlwind trip to Disneyland with her friend Blair M. Struble where they took part in all of the Halloween festivities. Meri documented the pair's adventures at the Southern California theme park in multiple photos posted on Instagram.

As OK! previously reported, Christine announced on Tuesday, November 2 via Instagram that she and Kody — who is still legally married to Robyn Brown and spiritually married to Janelle Brown — have decided to go their separate ways. “After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” the TLC personality wrote.
“We will continue to be a strong presence in each other's lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family," Christine continued. "At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family.”
Devoted fans of the show — which will return for its 16th season this month — began to speculate whether Meri would be the next wife to bail on their traditional polygamist marriage. One user wrote under Kody's announcement, “Christine?? I always thought it would be Meri first… congratulations .. time to move on.”
