A source said The View's famous Halloween episode will be severely toned down for budget reasons.

"Those Halloween shows cost a fortune. The costumes, makeup, sets, special effects and extra crew hours all add up," the source spilled to RadarOnline.com. "It was an easy place to save money."

Insiders also claimed that budgets for the star's wardrobes have been slashed, while some expense accounts were eliminated, as it was alleged pricey NYC dinners with publicists will no longer be permitted.

Disney Hit Back at the FCC's Claims

The FCC is investigating whether the ABC series abides by the equal time rule.

As OK! reported, Disney, ABC's parent company, has hit back at the FCC's probe.

The Donald Trump-backed organization is looking into whether they show abides by the equal time rule, which states bonafide news programs must give all political parties a platform.

However, Disney claimed The View was given a "bona fide news exemption" more than 20 years ago.

"The View's exemption remains valid, and the constitutional infirmities in the equal time doctrine are even more pronounced today, when the broadcast airwaves account for a slice of the numerous media options through which Americans get their political information," their statement read. "Indeed, the marketplace of ideas has never been more robust, and people can hear virtually any brand of political commentary by listening to a podcast, watching cable, scrolling social media, or streaming on a phone, computer, or connected TV. The free flow of ideas flourishes on these non-broadcast platforms, even though the equal opportunities rule does not apply there."

During a recent CNBC interview, Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro doubled down on their stance.

"Our position on this is clear. We’re very principled on this. We’re going to stand up to what we believe is journalistic integrity. And we’re not going to be told how to run that side of our business," he expressed. "Our filings, I think, speak for that. I like what we do. We tell incredible stories. I think we do it well. We do it around the world. And we’re going to stay committed to that."
