Tom Holland Wishes Girlfriend Zendaya A Happy Birthday In Couple's Official Instagram Debut
Instagram official. Tom Holland took to social media to wish girlfriend Zendaya a happy birthday.
On Wednesday, September 1, the Spider-Man: Far From Home actor posted a sweet photo of the two love birds in what appears to be a dressing room as they posed for a sweet mirror pic.
He captioned the photo by writing, “My MJ, have the happiest of birthdays. Gimme a call when your [sic] up xxx.”
He referred to Zendaya as “MJ” in the post, representing the Disney alum’s character in Marvel’s Spider-Man trilogy, which the pair filmed together.
Holland’s snap marks the first time either of the stars has made their relationship Instagram official, although sources have been confirming the romance rumors for months.
On July 1, fans were sent into a frenzy after the pair were spotted leaning in for a kiss in Los Angeles. The duo were later seen in Silver Lake, Calif., where the Euphoria star’s mother lives.
Speculation of off-screen chemistry between the two actors has been circulating for years, although they have been dodging the rumors until now.
In 2017, PEOPLE reported that the couple were "privately" seeing each other, which the co-stars denied on social media.
"Wait wait...my favorite is when it says we go on vacations together HA! I haven't been on vacation in years! hbu @ TomHolland1996 ???," Zendaya tweeted at the time.
“@Zendaya Does the press tour count?,” the Cherry actor quipped back.
OK! previously reported that the pair allegedly first hooked up while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming, but weren't able to make things work at the time.
“It took a huge effort to woo her back,” an insider shared of the 25-year-old Brit. “[Holland] has really grown up since they went their separate ways a while back, and now he’s committed to making their relationship a priority, no matter what.”
“Zendaya always knew there was a gracious guy in there, and her patience has paid off because Tom is a lot more mature now,” the insider spilled.
Earlier this month,The Greatest Showman actress was seen alongside the Cherry star in Southern California, where fans claimed they were “being all flirty together.”
The couple have reportedly been on-and-off since 2017, with Holland briefly dating Olivia Bolton in the meantime. Zendaya was also linked to Euphoria co-star Jacob Elordi for a short period of time as well.
