The La La Land alum began dating McCary in October 2017. The couple got engaged two years later. McCary announced the news with an Instagram selfie in December 2019 — showing the Oscar winner smiling ear to ear showing off her giant rock.
The 32-year-old’s perspective on settling down and starting a family has evolved over the years. In a 2018 interview with Elle, she revealed, "My perspective about kids has changed as I've gotten older."
