Ariana Grande is onto the next...song! The singer released her latest single along with the music video on January 18. From buying herself diamonds after splitting with ex-fiance Pete Davidson to her signature pony tail — the song lists a few of her favorite things!
Ariana's track was inspired by The Sound of Music's "My Favorite Things."
The song is being hailed an "empowerment anthem" with lyrics like “I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it.”
Referring to her broken engagement with Pete, she sings, "Wearing a ring but not cause I’m no Mrs."

That lyric is about the shopping spree she went on with her six girlfriends after her she and Pete broke up. During their outing, Ariana bought engagement rings for the girls who also star in the music video. She shared a picture of them watching themselves on Instagram.
She also addresses her signature pony tail, which is on full display in the video. "You like my hair/thanks I bought it," she sings.
She also preaches, “Been through some bad s—/I should be a sad b----h/Who would’ve thought it’d turn me to a savage/Rather be tied up with gauze and not strings/Write my own checks like I write what I sing.” Those lyrics seem to be about her rough 2018 that included the death of her ex boyfriend Mac.
