Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea’s song “Pretty Girls” was supposed to be the song of the summer, but instead it was one of the biggest flops of the season. So whose fault is it that the song only reached No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100? According to Iggy, that would be co-singer Britney!
During a Q&A on Twitter, a fan asked about the single’s flop. Iggy responded, “@rhuancesarr its difficult to send a song up the charts without additional promo and tv performances etc. unfortunately I’m just featured,” she wrote. “Would have enjoyed performing it a lot, I think it got off to a powerful start. But you need to compete in 2015.”

She added with another tweet, “My comment is factual, it applies to any song. I don’t have to suck the womans a—hole 24/7 to be her friend, do i? bye girls.”

When social media accused the rapper of dissing the “Perfume” songstress, she insisted that she wasn’t throwing shade at Brit. “Genuine friends have genuine opinions,” Iggy said. “Its possible & healthy to have a differing thought without it being bitchy or shade.”

Although Iggy wasn’t slamming Britney, the songstress certainly took it that way! “Can’t wait to get back to Vegas,” Britney wrote. “So thankful I have shows for the rest of the year to look forward to… #YouWantAPieceOfMe.”
