So much for reconciling! After hinting that she was considering giving her relationship with her estranged husband Mike Comrie another try, Hilary Duff is now facing a dramatic divorce battle with her ex.
The pair, who separated in January 2014, had been seemingly on the road to getting back together at the top of the year. But a source speaking with OK! says once Duff learned of Comrie’s reported drunken behavior during a night out in January, she decided to pull the plug on their relationship.
“She called her lawyer immediately,” the insider said. “Hearing about his disgusting antics really broke her, but it was also an eye-opening experience because she was finally able to close this chapter of her life.”

The Younger star filed for divorce from Comrie in Febraury, requesting primary custody of their 3-year-old son, Luca Cruz, with visitation rights for Comrie. Mike then filed his response on April 16, asking for joint legal and physical custody of their son, launching a legal battle that the source added is quickly getting nasty.
“They had discussed sharing custody in the past, so he was really caught off guard,” the source said. “He waited until April to file because he was hoping to reconcile, but when he realized that’s not happening he decided to fight back.”
