Jim Edmonds Reveals Why He Took His & Meghan King Edmonds' Nanny To A Hockey Game

Jim Edmonds is setting the record straight. The broadcaster revealed why he took his and Meghan King Edmonds’ nanny to a hockey game. New photos surfaced of Jim, 49, and nanny Carly Wilson sitting together at the game. Meghan allegedly accused him of having an affair with the 22-year-old. However, Jim clarified why he and their nanny went to the sporting event.

"I didn’t take her to an event by myself. Get your facts straight,” the former baseball player replied to a commenter on Instagram. “I was with my best friend and his child. I was trying to do something nice for the girl who just had her boyfriend dumped sic her.” Jim added that Carly is “like a daughter” to him. He added, “All off this bulls**t will not change that.”

This is not the first time the former Cincinnati Reds player did "something nice" for the 22-year-old. In May 2018, he treated Carly to tickets for a country music showcase with her boyfriend at the time, Eric. “Hands down the MOST amazing concert experience ever!! Carly denied the cheating allegations on Instagram on October 28. "I have not and never would participate in any action involving infidelity," she wrote. “I consider this a private matter in someone else’s marriage and will not comment on it further. I wish the entire family well."

On October 28, Jim also responded to the cheating allegations. “I did not sleep with our nanny,” he said in a lengthy Instagram caption. “She’s not just a nanny, she is someone that we brought into our house and promised to protect and look after while she was in our home. We have been treating and raising this young girl like she is our own child! For someone to accuse me of sleeping with her is not only wrong, it’s disgusting and irresponsible."

Jim filed for divorce from Meghan, 35, on October 25, after the couple allegedly got into an argument, and police were called to their house. The argument was reportedly about cheating allegations involving the nanny and the former MLB star.

On October 29, Meghan took to her blog and explained how she didn’t feel supported during the sexting scandal in June 2019. She also claimed she was uncomfortable while Jim was allegedly out “drinking and partying with much younger women.”
