Lamar Odom Shows ‘Signs Of Improvement,’ But Concerns Remain About Possible Brain Damage

One week after Lamar Odom was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel, the former NBA pro is making progress towards recovery, which is a long way away. Click through for the latest updates on his condition.
The 35-year-old, who was in a coma for three days, woke up on Friday and has been “slowly making progress,” E! News reported.
Amid reports he has spoken to Khloe Kardashian, Lamar is breathing on his own without a ventilator and has begun to communicate with hand signals.

He’s also said to have passed a swallow test and got out of his hospital bed with assistance.
However, doctors are worried about the condition of his organs as well as other long-term damages that could have happened during the overdose including brain damage.

Odom was hospitalized after being found on Oct. 13 unconscious from a drug overdose at Vegas brothel Love Ranch. People Magazine reported that cocaine and opiates were found in his system.
