Leah Messer Leaves Rehab After Corey Simms ‘Threatens’ To File For Abandonment To Gain Temporary Custody of Daughters On Teen Mom 2

Did Corey Simms use Leah Messer’s rehab stint as leverage to gain full custody of his twin daughters? That’s what Leah thought on this week’s Teen Mom 2, as she flew from her treatment center back home to secure her ex-husband wouldn’t try to get custody of their daughters.

The drama kicked off when Corey refused to let Leah’s mother Dawn Spears take Ali and Aleeah, 5, to see their mother at the treatment facility on Mother’s Day. “She made the decision to go,” Corey told his former mother-in-law. “She left on her own free will knowing she’s leaving for a month. Now that I have them I am their parent. I have to make the decisions on my own for them.”

After their confrontation, Dawn called Leah to inform her that Corey may try to take the girls from her! “You think he would be supporting you when you’re having some medical issues,” Dawn cried. “It had my nerves tore up. I don’t think he’s gonna give you your girls when you come home.”

When Leah called her lawyer, she was advised to come home right away because Corey could file for abandonment and get temporary full custody of the twins until a hearing is scheduled. “When I went to the restaurant to talk to him about going away he seemed so supportive,” she told her friend. “I’m going to get home, get my babies secured and nothing at all is going to stop me from coming back here and going to therapy.”

When Leah and Corey finally discussed the issue face-to-face, he expressed his support. “You being better is what’s best for them,” he said. “We want them to have you. We would never do nothing to take them from you.”
