Leah Messer losing full custody of her twin daughters to ex-husband Corey Simms has been a nightmare for the Teen Mom 2 star, but for the 5-year-old girls it’s a blessing in disguise.
“They’ve been thriving in school,” a source told In Touch. “They have a lot of friends.”
Ever since Ali and Aleeah began living with their father and stepmother Miranda during the weekdays, they have been “really well.”
The custody change has been especially beneficial to Ali, who suffers from muscular dystrophy. “She’s walking on her own and she even runs,” the insider said of the tot. “So many prayers have been answered.”
